On the morning of July 4th, I found fireworks blooming right outside my front door.

Happy Independence Day!

  3. So cool! I have to make note of all of the beautiful flowers I see this summer and plant them for next summer. These DO look like fireworks!

  4. This is bee balm, planted last year in straight composted cow manure, growing this year to a height of six feet and totally crowding out everything else in the bed! I didn't intend to have a massive and solid bank of just one flowering plant, but it sure is lovely... Bee balm is also a medicinal plant and makes a great tea.

  5. I love your beebalm fireworks! My daughter used some in a dinner she made for us, and it tasted quite excellent! I had never thought of cooking with it.

  7. That's neat. I didn't know that there were flowers that were actually called fireworks. They are beautiful.
